Lukas Goretzki

Lukas Goretzki is Professor of Management Accounting & Control and Head of the Department of Accounting at the Stockholm School of Economics. His main research interests are the roles and identities of controllers, budgeting, forecasting, performance measurement, and the effects of digitalisation on the finance function. In addition, his recent work examines impact measurement and management in NGOs, with a focus on how such practices are constructed, implemented and used in organizational settings.
Lukas is an associate editor of the European Accounting Review and The British Accounting Review, as well as an editorial board member of Accounting, Organizations and Society, Management Accounting Research, Accounting and Business Research, Financial Accountability and Management, and the Journal of Management Accounting Research. Until 2026, he was an editor of the journal Qualitative Research in Accounting and Management.
