What’s going on in Brussels? Om lika villkor för civilsamhället i Europa

I februari antogs en relativt skarp resolution i EU-parlamentet där det slogs fast att civilsamhället, trots sin viktiga funktion i samhället, inte ges möjlighet att verka över landsgränserna i samma utsträckning som näringslivet. Parlamentet har nu lagt fram ett förslag som bland annat innefattar ett harmoniserat regelverk och en gemensam europeisk organisationsform för civilsamhällesorganisationer.

På EFAs (European Fundraising Association) webbinarium får du veta mer om detta direkt från den tyske parlamentsledamoten Sergey Lagondinsky. Fram till 28 oktober finns det också möjlighet för civilsamhället i Europa att ge kommentarer på förslaget.

The webinar is aimed at providing an overview on what’s going on in respect of the recent updates to the European space for civil society organisations. In particular we will look at the European Parliament Legal Affairs Committee proposal for “A statute for European cross-border associations and non-profit organisations”. Following the Commission’s announcement of its plans to create a legal framework to strengthen and protect civil society organisations throughout the European Union, and the launch of a public consultation, this webinar will provide an overview of the proposal, along with key insights and opportunities for European organisations.
